ESG at Xenon

At Xenon Services, we prioritise sustainability, social responsibility, and strong governance. Our efforts ensure positive impacts on the environment and community, driving progress through high standards and transparency.

Green Cleaning Products

Supplying cleaning materials that are kind to human health and the environment has been a long-standing priority for Xenon.  Xenon Services is very conscious of the damage that can be caused to the environment when standard products are used. A determined effort has been made to explore the viability of introducing products, which are ‘environmentally friendly’, with a particular focus on the bio-degradability of chemicals either flushed or rinsed into the sewer network. We will continue to promote awareness of this commitment to the environment by integration in all training and development activities appropriate to these issues.

We understand the health risks associated with long-term exposure to cleaning chemicals and for over 14 years, the cleaning products on all our customer sites are 100% biodegradable, eco-friendly and bear the EU Eco-Label. This is a recognised standard which guarantees that a product has been tested for reduced impact on the environment throughout its life cycle.

EU Ecolabel products must pass rigorous environmental testing, with results verified by an independent body.

Products are scrutinised on various aspects, such as

  • impact of raw materials used,
  • amount of packaging used,
  • environmental hazard classifications,
  • amount of energy required to manufacture the product,
  • any health risks associated with the product,
  • how often it must be used,
  • labelling clarity
  • and how biodegradable product waste and packaging are.

Xenon Services is committed to conservation of the environment and our core cleaning products are 100per cent biodegradable, environmentally-friendly products stamped with the EU Eco-Label.
We will continually seek to improve our products, services and packaging taking into account the reduction of material resources in the most efficient manner.

London Living Wage Employer

As a long-standing Living Wage Employer, we are keen to promote the ESG and welfare benefits of the London Living Wage to all our customers.

The London Living Wage is independently calculated by the Resolution Foundation, & takes into account the higher cost of living & renting in London. The wage is calculated annually each year, to reflect the exact cost of living in that point in time.

Cleaning is hard-work – which requires physically demanding labour and working unsociable hours. We firmly believe that a fair day’s work deserves a fair day’s wage. The benefits of the LLW are plenty – our cleaners work hard and take pride in what they do. Staff retention is improved massively and mitigates a high staff turnover rate, which in turn allows us to provide an efficient regular cleaner for our clients.

In line with our CSR policy, Xenon is committed to practice a responsible approach to the environment and also contribute positively to the local and wider community through charitable donations and supporting fund raising events.

Xenon’s employees, customers and suppliers all take part in the annual Cancer Research UK Race for Life – to date, we have raised over £6,000 and will continue to raise more in the years to come!

Electric Vehicles

Xenon Services Ltd are committed to following environmental best practice and maintaining and improving its environmental performance, giving full consideration to the effects our daily business activities may have on the environment and ensure those activities are carried out in a sustainable way.

We have recently invested in the electrification of our fleet to reduce our Carbon Footprint and propagate good ESG practice. Furthermore, as our Offices and Depot is located near our customers in Central London Zone 1 opposite
our office we use public transport where possible. Our business model and growth of the Company ensures the proximity of team to our customers. 5 out of 6 Senior Managers and 3 out of 5 Directors all use public transport in their day-to-day activities.
